How do I change my settings?
Tenta Browser's settings allow you to customize your browsing experience on a global and Zone level.
Global Settings Options
Note: To access Global Settings, unlock Tenta Browser, then tap Global Settings from the homescreen.
- Set as default browser. This will set Tenta as your default browser to open links.
- Change PIN code. Change your PIN code here.
- Fingerprint login. If your device supports fingerprint unlocking, you can turn this feature on or off for Tenta Browser here.
- PIN Code Timeout. Tell us when you want Tenta Browser to ask you to enter your PIN. Tenta Browser can lock immediately after closing the app, 1 minute or 5 minutes after not using the app, when you lock your phone, when you reboot your phone, or never at all.
- Reset Tenta. This is not the same thing as changing your PIN code. Reseting Tenta Browser will delete all of your data and your PIN code.
- Enable Remote Debugging. This setting is for developers who want to create websites using Tenta Browser. Tenta supports normal debugging using Chrome developer tools.
- Send usage and crash reports. This sends us anonymous crash data to help us improve Tenta Browser.
Mode Settings Options
Note: To access Zone Settings, unlock Tenta Browser, then tap Open Zones from the homescreen. Select the Zone you wish to customize, then tap the Settings icon on the top right corner of the screen.
- Zone name. Change the name of a Zone.
- Search engine. Tell us which search engine to use for your search queries. If there's a search engine you'd like to use that you don't see on our list, let us know.
- Clear Zone data. This settings closes all your tabs and associated history everytime you close Tenta.
- Block popups. Block pop-up ads and notices when you visit websites.
- Remember passwords. When you visit a website that requires you to sign into an account, like email or shopping, you can tell Tenta to remember your username and password. The next time you visit the site and start entering your username, Tenta will complete your login information.
- Remember form data. Similar to Remember Passwords, but for other fields, such as Name, Address, ZIP or Postal Code. If you instruct Tenta to remember this information, we will auto complete the applicable fields with your form data.
- Keep browsing history. Since all of your activity in Tenta Browser is safely kept behind your private PIN code or fingerprint, you can save your browsing history without worry about prying eyes.
- Allow cookies. Cookies contain information such as site preferences or login status. You can choose which sites you'll accept cookies from and group them into one Zone.
- Do not track. This setting sends a request to the sites you visit that you do not want your browsing data collected or tracked.
